The Company, through its subsidiary Southeast Power Corporation, is engaged in the construction and maintenance of electrical facilities for utilities and industrial customers.

The Company, through its subsidiary Southeast Power Corporation, is engaged in the construction and maintenance of electrical facilities for utilities and industrial customers, and also installs fiber optic cable for fiber optic cable manufacturers, telecommunication companies and electric utilities, performing this work primarily in the southeastern United States. During 2003, the Company opened a new electrical construction division in South Carolina to expand its presence into the mid-Atlantic region.

The Company's electrical construction business includes the construction of transmission lines, distribution systems and substations and other electrical installation services for utility systems and industrial and specialty projects, including fiber optic cable installation which is primarily overhead. Its customers include many of the companies in the industries it serves. Representative customers include: Florida Power & Light Company, Georgia Power Company, Lee County Electric Cooperative, HyPower Inc., Santee Cooper and Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia.

Goldfield Corporation, through its other subsidiary, Bayswater Development Corporation, involves in the real estate operations that comprise the development of residential condominium projects on the east coast of central Florida.
